Primary 2 Grace's SpaceForm Teacher: Mrs Kristin Heng-Ling Sok Khin February 28 My Chinese New Year by Javier TanMY CHINESE NEW YEAR (BY JAVIER TAN)
I went to Sentosa during Chinese New Year with my family. First we went to eat and at the eatery area I saw a big playground. My sister and I climbed up the playground. I was above the shops and saw my mother in one of the shops. After that we went to the bridge which is across the sea. I was scared because the bridge was very shaky. After we crossed the bridge, we climbed up a 5 storey high tower.
We proceeded to see Sentosa Flowers 2008 and it was so crowded. Oh! I saw an exhibit there that is done by my school, Greenridge Primary. The title is "Spring Village". I am so proud of my school. I took lot of pictures there too. The flowers were very pretty and the area was very well decorated. There were also some fountains. I also took a photo of the Merlion. It was huge! It was so tiring after walking for 2 hours. My family took the train back to the beach station because my daddy's car was parked at the beach car park. After Sentosa, my parent brought my sister and I to my Aunt Sharon's house. I really enjoy myself a lot. Written by Javier Tan

November 09 Ice Cream PartyWe have an ice cream party to celebrate the end of the term and to reward those who have put in a lot of hard work for the year. Special thanks to parents of Javier, Susan, Edmund, Shawn and Celine for sponsoring the following:
a) bowls, spoons & tissue paper (Javier)
b) fruits (Shawn & Celine)
c) chocolate rice (Susan)
d) a tub of ice cream (Edmund)
Not forgetting our form teacher, Mrs Kristin Heng, who brought the rest of the ice cream to feed the class and bread to go with the ice cream.
It was a pity that Irfan and Faris could not join in the fun as they were absent.
On 9th November 2007, I had an ice cream party with my classmates and teacher, Mrs Kristin Heng. My favourite ice cream was the chocolate chips ice-cream. All the ice cream was delicious. Some of my friends said that the ice cream which I contributed was the best. I wish I can have another ice cream party next year.
I love to eat all the different flavours of ice- creams during the ice-cream party. My favourite one was jolly-jelly. Mmm… I can still feel the taste in my mouth! I also enjoyed taking photographs of Mrs Heng and all my friends. We may be going to different classes next year but my friends and I will remember eating ice-cream together forever. Written by Susan Pang
I am very happy when the ice cream party started. My friends bought fruits. Mrs Heng gave us different ice cream. We had durian, strawberry, sweet corn, vanilla, chocolate chips and many more. This day will etch in my memory forever. Written by Celine Chua
I like the ice cream party very much. My favourite ice cream us the durian ice cream. I think the funniest part of the party was when Jing Ying would not let us take pictures of her face. When all the ice cream went into my mouth, my mouth became frozen. It is the coolest party ever!
On 9 November, Friday, our teacher, Mrs Heng brought us to the Icook room to have our ice cream party. We have a lot of different tubs of ice cream. The ice cream is very nice. I try all the flavors of ice cream. I love the Jolly Jelly very much. It has vanilla, strawberry and some chocolate chip on it. It is very yummy. I hope to have it again. Written by Lee Jing Ying
I feel happy when I have the ice-cream party. First I tried Jolly Jelly. After that, Mrs Heng put chocolate chip ice cream on a slice of bread. It was very fun. I vote for chocolate chip ice cream. Written by Nur Aliana.
I love the ice cream party because it is fun. I eat many types of ice cream. My favourite flavor is strawberry. I also like the chocolate ice cream, eaten with the slice of bread because it is very sweet. I enjoy myself very much.
The ice cream party is very nice. I love it but I did not like durian ice cream because I would vomit if I take it. I like Jolly Jelly ice cream and I think I will try it again next time. Written by Nur Iffah
My favourite flavor is chocolate. I like chocolate ice cream. It is very delicious. The icy cream milk mixed with chocolate gives it a very special taste. Chocolate ice cream can be a healthy food which all children like to eat. Written by Clara Lee
I enjoyed the party. The ice cream I like most is sweet corn flavor. The sweet corn is very nice. I wish my P3 form teacher will give us a party as well.
November 07 KidznetThe KidzNet programme is a modified netball programme developed for 6 to 10 years old. The emphasis is on fun, active participation and the development of basic netball skills. Objective This programme aims to teach children basic netball skills through modified games using modified equipment (e.g. shorter goal posts and smaller netball). The emphasis is on providing an enjoyable learning environment, which teaches children not only psychomotor skills, but other aspects in child development such as communication and cooperation skills, as netball is a team game.
Primary 2 Grace pupils went through 3 sessions (1 hour each time, once a week) in September and here are what they have to say after the programme.
Kidznet is a very fun programme. I learn many things. I learnt shoulder pass and chest pass. I love to play the games. They are very fun. I want to play them again. I enjoyed myself very much.
It is great fun to play with my classmates. There is always great shouts of joy during the game. We are divided into groups to compete with one another. We would like to come to play again.
Do visit this entry again for more reflections, photos and videos.

Have a great Children's Day 2 Grace! From Mrs Heng. My school celebrated Children Day on 28/09/07. During assembly, there are some programs for us to watch. I enjoyed myself a lot when we were asked to guess who the teacher was and when the teacher talked about the occupation they wanted to have when they were still a child. Written by Javier Tan Jun Jie
Today (28 September 2007), my school teachers held a concert for us because it was Children's Day Celebration!!!!! My friends and I enjoyed the show especially the part when the Malay teacher sang in Mandarin. Mrs Chew, our principal told us two stories to teach us to be good and caring to others, not just our friends but to people who are old. I love the presents that Mrs Kristin Heng gave us. She told us she always wanted to be a teacher when she was young, that's why we got a super teacher now! It is a Children's Day school holiday on 1st October 2007 and I’m going to make sure I enjoy myself fully, eat my favourite food, slurpee, ice-creams, junk food, buy Barbie stuff, go Toy r Us, go movie at Vivo City........just dreaming!
Written by Susan Pang Pei Shan
Today was my happiest day in school because the concert for Children's Day was great. The teachers were very hardworking and they put up the best show ever created. I am proud of all my teachers. The best part of the show was when they sang the song which was the High School Musical Song. I love that story. I would like to thank all teachers who have participated or planned this show.

September 30 Javier’s Mid-Autumn Celebration at Chinese GardenJavier’s Mid-Autumn Celebration at Chinese Garden
My parents brought my sister and me to the Chinese Garden during Mid-Autumn Festival. We went there early for dinner and after dinner we proceeded to collect our free lanterns and mooncakes. After dinner, we went to see all those lanterns. I saw many types of lanterns like butterfly fish, shark, natulis, killer whale, lantern fish, abalone, crayfish, dolphin, etc. My family went to the seven storey high tower and the stairs was round so my father was very tired after climbing so many steps. We even walk round the whole garden. We finally settle down to watch the performance after we got tired. The performance was great! Among all of the performance, the one I like best was the girl balancing on a one wheel bicycle that was very high. She was fantastic! She put some bowls on one of her leg and one leg to cycle. When she kicked the bowls high up in the air, she used her head to catch it! After the show, we carried on to watch the fireworks. Wow! It was very loud because we are very near to the fireworks. It was too loud till my mother said "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I enjoyed myself very much. September 28 28 September - HomeworkHomework Date: 28 September 2007, Friday
